Tahith Chong joins Werder Bremen on loan

While there were rumours of Chong training with the Werder Bremen squad during the week, Chong has officially confirmed that he is on a season-long loan with the German team and he even wished us luck for today’s semi-final game against Sevilla. 

Tahith Chong joined from Feyenoord four years ago and has not been able to cut into the first team so far. The Netherlands Under-21 player made his senior debut in 2018 and it is hoped this loan will get him much needed experience to develop further in his career. 

Frank Baumann,Werder Bremen’s sporting director, had this to say about him, “He’s a talented youngster with real potential, who has already gained some experience at the highest level with Manchester United. Now he will have to get used to the Bundesliga and take the next step in his development with us.”
