Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United Player Ratings
Manchester United claimed a 6th consecutive win under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after their 1-0 victory away against the Spurs. Here are my player ratings for the match.
David De Gea: 10/10
Tottenham players are going to be having nightmares about him. Made a few incredible stops and a few rather simple ones to keep a clean sheet and give United the three points.
Luke Shaw: 7/10
He intercepted quite a few passes and made crucial blocks inside the penalty box. He looked solid defensively but could be sharper on the attack.
Victor Lindelof: 7/10
He showed his class again against a strong side and continued his run of good performances, making good tackles inside the box and showing positive energy.
Phil Jones: 6/10
Stopped some over the top balls and got the job done.
Ashley Young: 7/10
He made good runs forward and won fouls in good positions, very active on the right flank.
Nemanja Matic: 7/10
Helped out defensively and put in good tackles to stop Spurs from getting through on goal.
Ander Herrera: 6/10
Was quiet in the first 45 minutes but settled in and supplied Pogba with good passes, not as good as in previous matches under Ole.
Anthony Martial: 7/10
He caused the Spurs problems down the left hand side and had a good opportunity to give United the lead. He also lost possession 2 or 3 times but had a decent game.
Paul Pogba: 8/10
Assisted the only goal of the game and shifted well from defence to offence, had 3 attempts on goal all saved by Hugo Lloris. He was booked for a bad tackle on Dele Alli.
Jesse Lingard: 6/10
Missed a golden opportunity early on and disappeared in the second half, his worst performance under Solskjaer.
Marcus Rashford: 8/10
Scored the only goal of the game and had a few chances going forward. Managed to get in behind the Spurs' defence on a couple of occasions and caused problems for Tottenham.
Substitutes:
Romelu Lukaku: 5/10
Got very few touches of the ball, wasted a 2 on 1 opportunity and didn't recover on defence in the dire stages of the game.
Diogo Dalot: N/A
Came on for the final 10 minutes or so and closed down space for Spurs to attack.
Scott McTominay: N/A
Came on for the final 4 minutes to waste time.
