For the seventh straight time at a FIFA World Cup, Mexico was eliminated in the round of 16.  This time, it was Brazil that knocked El Tri out of the event, leaving CONCACAF no chance at a championship.

The only CONCACAF squad to ever medal was the United States who took third in 1930, and no team from the region has ever reached the final.

Mexico had high hopes to compete for the title, but was simply overmatched by Brazil and was defeated by the 2-0 scoreline.

Despite having 54% of possession, Brazil had the best chances.  The Brazilians outshot Mexico 21-13. Including 10 shots on frame.

After an action packed, but goalless first half, Brazil opened its account in the 51st minute.  Willian worked himself free on the left side of Guillermo Ochoa’s box, and played a low cross towards two unmarked attackers.  It slid through to Neymar who deftly poked home to give his side the advantage.

Earlier today Manchester United took on Bournemouth and looked every bit as dominant as we have seen them over the restart. Possibly the best game we have seen from the frontline. Goals from Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and Fernandes helped to secure the three points for United. Goals from Stanislas and Josh King made for a nervous time (with another goal being ruled offside), but thankfully we rallied to take home the 3 points at the Theatre of Dreams.
Martial. Rashford. Greenwood. What a front three! Must be scary to have these three bearing down on your goal.

Borussia Dortmund have warned Manchester United they must sign Jadon Sancho by August 10th or the deal is off, according to reports. The Bundesliga club are not willing to get embroiled in a transfer circus throughout the summer after slapping a £108 million price-tag on the England winger.
Reports suggested United were only willing to stretch to £50million for the winger considering the coronavirus pandemic. That falls some way short of Dortmund's £100m valuation, and they are not prepared to accept anything less as they feel they could still command that figure next year.
Sancho's contract runs until 2022, which means Dortmund would be in a weaker bargaining position at the end of next season. Manchester United have beaten Bournemouth 5-2 at Old Trafford in what was an extremely enjoyable game that takes us forward in our march to claim that UCL spot. We are now 16 games unbeaten with 12 wins and 43 goals scored while conceding just 6, most of them to individual errors. Along with some amazing goals, tricky situations and a great result, this game also showed us many things. So let's take a look at 5 things we learned from this game!
1. Lineup Stability

For the first time since 2006, Manchester United have named the same lineup for 3 consecutive Premier League games. This shows that Solskjaer has found his preferred players and is ready to use that as a base to build what will hopefully become title-winning sides.
