Antony Martial’s Performance At Sevilla

Wanting to escape his situation at Manchester United, Antony Martial pushed for the loan move to join Spanish giant Sevilla to revive his football career and the hopes of making it to the French national team going to the world cup in Qatar.

He said, “I lost it a bit in Manchester because I wasn’t playing.”

A career plagued with injury, brilliant moments few and far between, Martial lost favor under Ole Gunnar and Ralf Rangnick. His move to Sevilla was his chance to prove himself to Manchester United and get more game time. Still, things haven’t been rosy for the French international.

Scoring just one goal and providing one assist in his eight appearances, his desire has been questioned, with fans showing their frustration jeering him during their game with Real Sociedad that ended in a draw. It is also rumored that the manager, Julen Lopetegui, has lost confidence in him and is looking to replace him with Blackburn Rovers and Chile striker Ben Brereton Diaz, according to Estadio Depotivo.

Conclusion

As things stand at Manchester United, it will take a lot of convincing to get ahead of Elanga and Jadon Sancho. Primarily to be blamed for the position he finds himself in, Antony Martial needs to put in the work if he expects any future at United.
