Norwich City vs Manchester United – Player Ratings

Manchester United struggled in securing a win against Norwich City at Carrow Road until Ronaldo scored a lead taking penalty at 75th minute. Here are the player ratings from the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 8/10

Made some really good run-ins into the box. However, was denied a goal scoring chance until the 75th minute when he scored a penalty to give Manchester United their much-awaited lead.

Marcus Rashford – 5/10

Really poor spell of games for Marcus Rashford. He has been nowhere near his old form and hopefully, he gets it back soon. In this game, he put one of the worst performances since his debut for Manchester United and only made a few correct passes.

Jadon Sancho – 6/10

Nothing worth noticing apart from some good passes to Mctominay, Fred, Rashford and Telles in the midfield.

Bruno Fernandes – 6/10

Bruno Fernandes’ form, apart from the Arsenal game, has seen a dip recently. One can only hope this doesn’t continue for long. His linkup and passes were completely different from his usual performances for Manchester United. Also, he made hasty decisions which was pretty unlike him.

Fred – 7/10

Yet another solid performance for Fred. It’s pretty obvious that Ralf Rangnick’s arrival has influenced Fred’s performance by a lot and he would only improve from here on.

Scott McTominay – 7/10

Put up a good performance alongside Fred and executed everything assigned to him Be it making short and/or long passes or making ball recoveries.

Diogo Dalot – 6.5/10

Dalot was pretty decent in the game. He made some really good run-ins in the opposition half and made some pretty great passes. However, the run-ins into the opposite half gave away the empty right-back space which occasionally created problems for the team.

Victor Lindelof – 7/10

Lindelof had a fairly decent game. He covered a lot of defence as Maguire ventured ahead to provide United with an extra man up front before being called off due to an unspecified injury.

Alex Telles – 7.5/10

Alex Telles also had a fairly decent game. He took a great free-kick which nearly went in. Apart from it, created a fair share of crosses.

Harry Maguire – 6.5/10

Put up a pretty average performance display which, however, was better than his previous performances. He made 7 clearances and won 5 aerial duels.

David De Gea – 9/10

Unarguably the best player on the field. He made a key save to deny Watford a late equalizer at the 92nd minute. The Manchester United goalkeeper deserves all the plauds for being an absolute beast this season.

Substitutes:

Mason Greenwood – 5/10

Did not affect the game much when brought on for Sancho and managed only 7 touches in the game.

Eric Bailly – 6.5/10

Eric Baily was brought in place of Lindelof and made a crucial save to preserve the clean sheet for United.

Donny van de Beek – N/A
