Alex Telles cleared to play this weekend as fans breathe a sigh of relief.

Telles who is tested covid negetive will likely to feature in this Premier League Weekend

The Red Devils will be hosting West Brom at Old Trafford this weekend. Telles, who has tested COVID positive again last month, missed the clash against Istanbul and Arsenal. However, the latest coronavirus test stated that the full-back passed a negative test. He was available against Uruguay in World-Cup qualifiers but did not come on the pitch though. But as far as fitness is concerned, United fans would be waiting anxiously to see the Brazilian International in the starting line-up. With Luke Shaw unavailable for 2-3 more weeks due to injury, Telles is likely to start if he is available. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has a lot to think about as his star performers Rashford and Martial may likely to remain out of the action due to their respective injuries.

He joined up with the Brazil squad for the November International break after testing negative before linking up with his nation. Though, he is expected to return to England later this week and has to report to the Carrington for the COVID formalities. If he tests negative then he can return to the AON Training Complex and play in this weekend.

Why we want Alex Telles?

United was aware of the reporters that Telles had tested positive and said their medical staff would access on this. The defender though had the disease with an asymptomatic and with a non-transmissible condition of the virus. On the Summer Window Transfer last month, United signed him from FC Porto for a fee of roughly 15 million. Since his signing, he managed to play a solitary match against PSG at Le Parc des Princes so far and has left the fans impressed by his clinical performance. The Brazilian was excellent in that game with his delicious pin-point crosses from the corner.

The Brazilian team doctor also stated (via MEN) that “The player has already left the transmission phase, but can be positive for some time.

If Telles somehow misses the match then Brandon Williams is going to replace the Brazilian International. The latter did not play since the Carabao Cup against Brighton. As a result, it would not be an idle choice for Solskjaer.

Manchester United News: Injuries, player fitness and updates.

Telles’s arrival means Manchester United have two competitors in the left-back position and also bring different dimensions and formations to United’s attack. The 27-years old scored 13 goals and assisted 12 in 49 appearances across all competitions, which is remarkable. He is definitely one of the prospective wing-backs United were searching for all these years.
