Alex Telles Transfer Update

Manchester United have made progress in their pursuit to sign Porto’s Alex Telles as they continue to agree over what is a set fee.

The Brazilian’s buyout clause is €40 million (£36.7m). However, due to the fact that the player will not sign a new contract with Porto, the Dragons have little option but to sell now or in January rather than let him leave for free in June.

Talks continue between Manchester United and Porto for Alex Telles. Player side still convinced that an agreement between Porto and #MUFC can be reached around €25m. Negotiations on. There’s also another option on the list as LB for Man Utd if Telles deal will collapse.”

Telles as reported by The Guardian is pushing for the deal to work out. He believes FC Porto’s asking price to #mufc of around £18.3m for his transfer is unrealistic. Although he remains hopeful a deal can be concluded this week. He is braced for negotiations to drag on towards the close of the window. [guardian]

Alex Telles

Personal terms as earlier reported this week won’t be a problem as the player is pushing to join Manchester United. However, the Red Devils are yet to agree a deal for the Brazilian. Reports coming out is that United have an alternative to Telles if the deal collaspes. The player suggested is Taglifico.

“Manchester United ‘line up £23m-rated Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico as an alternative to Porto’s Alex Telles'”. – Mail Online Sport.

Nothing concrete at the moment but Manchester United will surely want to sign Tagliafico if their pursuit for Telles collapse.
