David De Gea – 6.5
A quiet night tonight for the United keeper apart from having to pick Wolves equalising goal out of the back of the net and a shot that hit the post and ricocheted back off his arm for a corner.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7.5
Another very good performance from the young English full back nothing got past him down United’s right and was often involved in the teams attacking play.
Victor Lindelof – 7.0
In the main Victor defended well today apart from one sliced clearance in the first half. Would have been disappointed not to be organised enough to deal with Wolves well worked corner for the equaliser.
Harry Maguire – 7.5
Harry defended well today and linked up well with Lindelöf again as a central defensive partnership. Maguire’s passing tonight was exemplary.
Luke Shaw – 6.5
After a comfortable first half, Luke found it difficult coming up against Adama Traore in the second half and all of a sudden started to look sluggish.
Scott Mctominay – 7.0
A tenacious performance in the middle of the park from the young midfielder, something that we are becoming accustomed to now. He breaks up attacks and he’s neat and tidy on the ball.
Paul Pogba – 5.5
Aside from his penalty miss, a penalty he should of let Marcus Rashford take, his passing was poor and he gave the ball away in some very dangerous areas at times.
Jesse Lingard – 6.5
Struggled to influence the game too much but offers United a good option in between the lines and was involved in the build up for the goal.
Daniel James – 7.0
Not a bad debut, will need to show more composure in the final third but that will come with experience. Tonight he was always willing to receive the ball and run with it, creating openings. He also showed great commitment getting back and helping the teams defensive efforts.
Marcus Rashford – 8.0
Marcus was so bright in the game everything that was good about United came through him and that was epitomised by his assist for the goal. He should have demanded to take the penalty though, he’s never missed one as a professional.
Anthony Martial – 8.5
The Frenchman continued his great start to the season with a fantastic run and finish for his goal. He is linking up really well with Rashford and his off the ball running is improving a lot which is helping his all round game.
