Leicester City vs Manchester United Player Ratings

David De Gea – 7.5
Ever reliable as always, the Spaniard showed great reflexes to make a save from a Jamie Vardy acrobatic volleyed effort and did well to save a Rachid Ghezzal free-kick that looked destined for the top corner of the goal.
Ashley Young – 7.0
He was part of a back four that did well to keep a clean sheet and secure the three points. He was however sloppy in possession at times when trying to start attacks, especially in the second half.
Eric Bailly – 7.5
After a shaky start, for the most part he partnered Victor Lindelof very well. He made some crucial blocks and interceptions. It was good to see the club’s best two centre backs playing together and doing well.
Victor Lindelof – 7.5
Another solid performance from the Swede. He has quickly became the best centre back at the club and once again was very secure in possession.
Luke Shaw – 7.5
It was a good professional performance from the left back and provided a useful attacking outlet at times, going forward down the left side.
Ander Herrera – 6.5
A quiet game for the Spanish midfielder, he struggled to keep possession and couldn’t help United gain any control in the middle of park during a tough second half.
Nemanja Matic – 7.0
A decent game from Nemanja today, he brought his usual physicality to the game. However you could say he can count himself lucky to not have received a second yellow card for a high challenge on Harvey Barnes.
Paul Pogba – 8.0
Paul’s delicious assist for United’s goal was a stand out moment in the game. Rejuvenated under Solskjaer he again looked good for the reds.
Jesse Lingard – 6.5
Plenty of effort and industry from Jesse again today but he wasn’t able to contribute much to the game after a bright first 20 minutes.
Alexis Sanchez – 6.0
Poorest player on the pitch in a United shirt. He’s really struggling to find any form and confidence, seeming to have lost a yard of pace and talent since joining the club 12 months ago.
Marcus Rashford – 7.5
A great touch and finish for the goal, a goal that had his managers trademark all over it. Should of scored with a header just before the goal. Didn’t threaten much in the second half.
Substitutes
Anthony Martial – 7.0
Romelu Lukaku- 6.5
Phil Jones- 6.0
