Fulham vs Manchester United. What We Learned.

Manchester United have extended their unbeaten run in 2019 with a 3-0 win over Fulham. Two goals from Pogba and a goal from Anthony Martial were enough to see out the victory and take us back into top four for the first time since the opener against Leicester City. And yes, it has been a long time since being in the top four and after six changes made to the squad, it was still a convincing win. I am sure the Man Utd players, staff and fans are feeling confident about PSG on Tuesday. And now, here are some things we have learned from watching Fulham vs Manchester United:

What We Learned:

Paul Pogba, Best Midfielder in the World at the Moment.

Pogba put two past Fulham today and his first of the evening was from a difficult angle on his weaker foot. The other was from the spot. Paul Pogba has been performing with flying colours since being played in his preferred position. The World Cup winner now has 11 goals in the PL this season (most in his career in all leagues so far). He currently has one less goal than Eden Hazard. Since being in his preferred role, Paul has had the most goals, assists, created chances, and take on’s and is playing at the top of his game so far.
Ole Smart to give Phil Jones a new contract.

Okay, I was not a fan of this at all since the news broke about Jones signing a new contract at Manchester United but after thinking and observing today’s game, it was a smart move. Here’s why:
because having the options of playing other CB’s to rest your best CB before a big game is always a plus. Do I think he’ll see out his contract? No. But it would be silly to let him go on a free especially when you’re expecting to spend big in the coming years. But that aside, Jones nailed himself an assist today to Martial and nearly got himself a screamer as well.
Ander Herrera is the backbone to Pogba.
Man United need to offer the Spaniard a new contract. Herrera plays his heart out every time and allows Pogba to be free. Without Herrera, Pogba could struggle a bit.
Anthony Martial, Signs and Scores again.

With an assist from Phil Jones, Martial ran about 50 yards with the ball with a defender behind and in front of him and still managed to score to make it 2-0. An absolutely glorious goal from the Frenchman. Won’t be long until he gets a call up for the National Team again.
Resting Rashford, Lindelof and Lingard, shows how important they are ahead of PSG.
Manchester United decided to rest Rashford, Lindelof and Lingard ahead of PSG on Tuesday and it shows how important they are and how fresh they will be needed on Tuesday night. Victor Lindelof for me, could be their most important player come PSG as they will need to prevent the likes of Mbappe and Cavani from getting an away goal.
Manchester United A Force Again.

Unbeaten in 2019, Manchester United look to be unstoppable at the moment and have a load of momentum heading into Champions League. Man United are back in the big leagues.
