Jose in! Jose out!

The rumor mill has calmed down a bit over recent weeks with impressive wins and comebacks but may have started to pick back up since over our recent defeat in the Manchester Derby, is it enough to sack Jose Mourinho? NO! Not for me anyway, but many Man United fans are still screaming ‘Mourinho out’ while some are wanting the board to back him in January for transfer funds and deals. I, speaking for myself, am Mourinho in… that is until after this season is over. As I am not a fan of sacking managers during the midpoint of the season.

Here we will discuss possible managers who could replace Jose Mourinho after the 18-19 season.

1: Eddie Howe: Now this may not be a popular choice due to his name and the team he is currently managing (AFC Bournemouth) but lets look at what he has done to the players here and the team as a whole.  Howe has been a PL manager since the 15/16 season in which he gave Bournemouth promotion (14/15), managing them since 2012. He lead the Cherries to safety in his first PL season (16th) and his track record of improving players has been impressive, much like Sir Alex right? As I’ve seen plenty of times this season and I’m sure you have as well, he plays in a system which gives his players freedom and chances to dominate on the ball, a philosophy also similar to Sir Alex Ferguson. He already has around 450 games of experience as manager and that is including all four divisions of English football.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth currently sit in 6th place in the PL and are in the Quarterfinals of the EFL Cup this season, for Bournemouth’s standards that is overachieving in my book and Howe’s work as manager has been deeply overlooked and underappreciated.

2: Antonio Conte: Okay before you throw a fit and whine about “Another Chelsea reject” hear me out…

Although he may have a similar side to Jose Mourinho, he won 30 games out of 38 in his first year in charge and won the PL comfortably. Also, a prospect of managing Paul Pogba and getting the best out of him for two successful seasons at Juventus. 3 time Italian champion, 1x Italian super cup winner, FA Cup.

Proven winner in and out of the PL. While his time at Chelsea, he was an admirer of Alexis Sanchez and wanted to bring him in, and he could get the most out of him and use his skills and talent to great effect, after all look at what he was doing with Victor Moses while at Chelsea. Just imagine what he could do with Alexis Sanchez or maybe even Rashford.

3: Lenardo Jardim:

Remember that season when Monaco won Ligue 1 and went on to the semi-finals of the Champion League? yeah that was thanks to Jardim.

The former Monaco manager is one who loves and trusts his youth/young players, for example; Mbappe and Martial, which would see him continue and respect the Manchester United academy tradition and Jardim LOVES to play attacking football. He is a great tactician and would adapt to the players he is given, which would be a massive improvement.

Jardim has an impressive record when it comes to finishing high in league tables, he finished 3rd with Braga and 2nd with a very young side of Sporting CP in the 2013/14 season in Portugal. Converted Fabinho from fullback into a midfielder as well. Only 44 years of age but it would be a smart move for Man United to consider a move for Jardim for a possible replacement for Jose Mourinho if he were to get sacked.
