GRANADA VS MANCHESTER UNITED – MATCH ANALYSIS

Manchester United took a step towards the Europa League semifinals after a 2 – 0 victory over the Spanish side Granada.

Granada Vs Manchester United – Match Analysis

Being clear favorites to win the game with fans expecting domination from United, the match fell short with the only highlights of the game coming from Victor Lindelöf’s long pass to a well-timed run of Marcus Rashford an assist to a brilliant goal and Bruno’s late penalty that was lucky to go in as he took it with one eyesore, the keeper dived the right way.

The game was slow in the first half, with Rashford showing clear signs of discomfort. It was a surprise that the England international was started for this match, being that he had missed some of the training session due to the ankle injury that saw him miss his international duties.

With ole set to miss key first-team players Mc Tominay, Luke Shaw, and the Skipper Harry Maguire in the second leg of the campaign that is just seven days away after being booked, the second leg might not be a formality even with the healthy lead.

Positives

Marcus Rashford becomes the first United player to have scored back-to-back 20 goals for the club since Rooney.

United fans got to see a familiar face back in between the posts; David De Gea got his first start in five weeks. Alex Telles also got some game time, and he took it to Instagram celebrating the night’s victory. With both heavily rumored by media to leave the club, are we seeing a scenario where they both stay?

Conclusion

Over the past and recent games, it is clearer that United is only out to win games, and they don’t emphasize how we win; it’s all about the result. If this strategy wins us silverware, fine, but how long are the fans going to take this?
