Brighton vs Manchester United Preview
Another important game awaits us. We are currently five points ahead of Liverpool, with a game in hand. And this game, is an ideal opportunity to get even more breathing space in second. A win here would cement our second spot finish.
On paper, it looks like another easy win. But Brighton are not pushovers. They have a good home record, and always seem to raise their game when they play at The Amex. They have only lost four matches at home in all competitions this season.
But the good news for all Manchester United fans reading this, is that Brighton haven’t won any of their last seven matches. And Manchester United have won seven of their last eight matches. Scoring at least two goals in each of those seven games.
Given that Brighton’s last two games after Manchester United, are against Manchester City and Liverpool. And considering they are probably targeting at least three points from their remaining three games to guarantee safety, i am expecting a very tough game here.
Team News
For Brighton, Davy Propper is expected to slot right into the Brighton midfield, after serving his suspension.
With Lukaku not playing, after picking up an ankle injury against Arsenal on Sunday, he will be a huge loss. But with rumours going around that he could shrug off his injury for the trip to Brighton, i don’t think he should be risked. Considering the F.A Cup final against Chelsea in just over three weeks.
Phil Jones, Sergio Romero, and Eric Bailly will miss the game against Brighton. Romero and Jones because of injury, and Bailly because he isn’t quite match fit yet.
